Super healty bars (Spirulina + Hemp seeds)

I try and I try, and I try to get rid of the sweets but it just never works out… traveling does not help that because I keep on seeing these beautiful pastries all over the country and local housewives never stop giving me cookies and cakes. It is hard. Really hard.

But I can change that:)

I was searching for new HEALTHY dessert recipes and I checked @nestorasmaistas Instagram where I found beautiful coconut flakes candies but I forgot to buy almonds and I had to create a recipe of my own from the products that I had at that time.

Also, I wanted to add spirulina, since it is considered as ‘super food’ and I try to use it as much as possible, not only with my morning juice//

So, here is what you will need for Healthy Spirulina bars:

- handful of dried figs

- handful of dried apricots

- handful of dried plums

- handful of hemp seeds

- handful of spirulina flakes (I buy it in ‘spaghetti’ shape, but I blend it at first so they would mix in better)

- 100 g coconut flakes

- handful of walnuts

- 1 spoon of coconut oil

*** As topping I used 100g of dark chocolate melted with 1 spoon of coconut oil + roasted seeds (pumpkin, hemp, sunflower)

Preparation is unbelievably easy// Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend it till it is solid and sticky

Place it in the tray with baking paper

Make it flat with your fingers and put it in the freezer for 30 min. Take it out and cut it in any size you want

You can grab and eat them now, but it is always nice to have some chocolate… :) melt your chocolate and garnish bars with it and seeds

If you keep these bars in the fridge, they can stay up to 2 weeks!

Voilà! Healthy, easy, nice and tasty - perfect for capricious husband, trying to stay healthy wife, starving child and me!!!

See you soon, xx
